About Us

It is our sincere hope that all of
our best friends will one day take
for granted a safe environment,
regular healthy meals, and love.

Our homemade gourmet recipes for meals and treats
disappear quickly around our houses. We think our
best friends deserve a little extra special treatment.
You see, they are all rescues. They came to us at
different times, with different issues and anxieties,
and unconditional love. For this we can repay
them with attention, love, walks around the block
or at the park, playtime in the yard, and meals and
treats they dance for. We advocate pet rescue and
hope you will consider your local animal shelter or
the SPCA when you are ready to adopt.

This site is dedicated to the memory of Bailey the
Shih Tzu. who may have lived had we known about
homemade recipes back then. She had terrible
allergy problems, and she was treated by a vet who
gave her Cortisone. We believe this drug eventually
killed her. If we had known about food allergies,
that precious little soul may have lived so much
longer and may not have suffered and died as she
did. In our ignorance, we followed the advice of the
vet who advocated drugs over diet. We have learned
so much in the quest to understand what else we
could have done for her and what we can do for our
best friends we have now. We encourage you to

We sincerely hope that our homemade recipes will be
successful for you and your best friend too, for only
people who consider their pets to be their best
friends and family members would make the effort to
cook for them as we do for ourselves and our
children.
